Three things:
1) please don't post as an anonymous user. You can still enter your name if you're registered with blogger.com.

2) As for the business casual comment, I will stick with what I said previously. Just because there is a trend to go w/o a tie to work doesn't mean that I agree we should take extend that to weddings. I won't say it's inappropriate to go dressed in business casual, but I will say that I think it's more appropriate to go with a tie.

3) The comment about weddings doesn't just apply to Utah. It's a problem everywhere.

You think that business casual (ie. sans tie) is inappropriate for a wedding reception? I'd have to disagree. As long as effort has been made to wear the dress shirt and slacks, I think that's good enough. We wear tie's enough I think, and besides, it's fashionable these days to go with a big collar and no tie...I guess...

But yeah, I'd have to agree. A surprising amount of LDS people don't dress up for weddings. I think that it may have something to do with the fact that in Utah, there is almost always a wedding to attend. Maybe people just don't own enough clothes. Not saying that it's an excuse people! I say, go buy some new clothes, get some deoderant, and make an effort to look nice and show some respect!
